August 12, 2025. Things That Make You Say "Mmmm..."

Clearly, I need to lighten up here.  I have my eye masks on, to make me look "bright". I think they may be overselling them. Teeth brushed, morning routine complete, making me overthink some pretty petty things. Play along, please.

Do you have things that must be done before your day really gets going? There are days that have shotgun starts, making getting the "usual" done right away impossible, but as a rule, the bed is made, dishwasher emptied...that sort of thing?

If you have a dishwasher, do you run it during the day, or at night?

If you decorate for Fall, have you started yet? Fall is my favorite season, but frankly, I just got my house set to rights following the renovation and the thought of rearranging anything makes me tired. That, plus the fact that we are still being systematically steamed outside. I just can't.

If you have a dishwasher, do you load it back to front, or front to back? Do you find yourself rearranging it after someone else loads it?

The roll of Charmin's position in the bathroom has never been an issue here, as it seems I am the only one even knows where the extra rolls are, much less how to put them on the holder. In case you wonder, the flap is to come over the top.

Does it bother you when chairs don't get pushed back into place?

Do you have a "day" for washing clothes, or do you do small loads throughout the week?

Not compelling content, I realize.

I've put off mowing, well past my typical schedule due to the high moisture content in the grass, but will do my best just to clean things up to be ready for the weekend. It may involve raising the mower deck a notch and putting the mulcher back on, but I need to be flexible so I can retreat to my happy place for a while later today. I need it. We have given up on keeping the cushions on the deck furniture as it takes so long to dry out. Ever planted your tushy on a soggy cushion? Not fun.

On with the day. I wonder if I'm bright yet. ☘
